Stephenson and Stephenson Research & Consulting, LLC (SASRAC) provides trusted, authoritative research and consulting services focused on occupational and environmental safety and health challenges. We specialize in developing hearing damage risk criteria, measuring and assessing impulsive noises, evaluating hearing protector performance, and creating wireless audiometric testing technologies.

SASRAC has the expertise to meet a wide range of needs, including basic & applied research, data analysis & reporting, as well as translational research.

Since the 1970s, our scientists have been at the forefront of applied research advancing technologies in audiology, bioacoustics, biocommunications, and hearing conservation.

We offer expert witness services. Additionally, we provide general research support related to the effectiveness of health and safety training and health communication issues.

SASRAC was established in 2016 by Mark R. Stephenson, Ph.D. and Carol M. Stephenson, Ph.D. after retiring from long careers in the USAF (Mark) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (Mark & Carol).
